Abstract
Optical activities of three new piezoelectric crystals Sr 3TaGa 3Si 2O 14 (STGS), Sr 3NbGa 3Si 2O 14 (SNGS) and Ca 3NbGa 3Si 2O 14 (CNGS) with langasite structure were studied via a convenient method. All the crystals investigated show unusually large values of the specific rotation ρ( λ).
