Abstract
We demonstrate a passively mode-locked solid-state Yb:KGW oscillator operating in various dispersion regimes. By tuning the anomalous dispersion introduced by dispersive mirrors we obtain solitons (with a pulse duration of 63 fs), chirped solitons (compressed down to 162 fs), as well as ultrabroadband double-pulse operation. The study investigates how net cavity dispersion affects the pulse formation mechanism and the pulse characteristics.
