Abstract
The modelling and analysis of a wind turbine with a horizontal axis powered by a generator which may Synchronous type with a permanent magnet are discussed in the study. According to the varying wind speeds, the PMSG output voltage and frequency are adjusted. The PMSG is powered by a horizontal axis wind turbine. Power Converters are combined with PMSG to achieve consistent voltage and frequency regardless of wind speeds. The PMSG, together with power converters, make the suggested wind energy conversion system. 3-phase diode rectification, Step up DC chopper, and 3-phase inverter are the power converters utilized in systems for converting wind energy. The voltage output from the synchronous generator with a permanent magnet is rectified by an uncontrolled rectifier before being supplied into the step-up chopper circuit. No of the wind speed, a chopper circuit produces a consistent output voltage. Using a PWM inverter circuit, constant voltage and constant frequency are produced. Using the MATLAB/SIMULINK programme, the entire wind power conversion system is modelled. The analysis of Wind Electric system demonstrates that as wind turbine speed or wind velocity increases, so does output voltage frequency and amplitude changes.
