Abstract

AbstractThe application of PS-QPSK (Polarization Switched Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) modulation and coherent receiving technology in the repeater-less systems are studied. The VPI system structure is built and the system transmission rate of 24 Gbit/s is realized. The experimental results show that PM-QPSK (Polarization Multiplexing Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) compatible system can be used as a scheme to generate PS-QPSK at the cost of 25% transmission rate.
