Abstract

The solubility of Zn atoms in α-Fe is increased by electrodeposition. The lattice constant of electrodeposited FeZn alloys increases with increasing Zn concentration. The average internal magnetic field and isomer shift of electrodeposited FeZn alloys are strongly correlated with Zn concentration. For FeZn alloys with Zn concentrations > 52 at.%, the Mössbauer spectra consist of an α-phase and a ZnFe intermediate phase.
