Abstract

The abrasive wear behavior of Epoxy strengthened Hallosyite nanotube (HNT)/Nano silica (separated from bamboo leaves) composite were tentatively examined utilizing pin on disc test rig. Multiple linear regression equations have been utilized to discover the impact of different factors which influences the abrasive wear behavior of composites. Analysis of variance has been locked in to get indiudival interaction impact of each process parameters (percentage of reinforcement, normal applied load and sliding speed) which influences the abrasive wear of the hybrid composite. Results demonstrate that the dry sliding wear of epoxy strengthened HNT/nano silica composite declines with increment of the reinforcement content. The load conveying limit of the epoxy in dry sliding condition has been expanded with the nearness of HNT and nano silica. Micro-structural examination was completed to research the different wear mechanism of the hybrid polymer composites utilizing scanning electron microscope (SEM).
