Abstract

The processes of acoustic wave propagation and attenuation in porous medium saturated with oil-water emulsion are investigate. Oil-water emulsion is modeled by a fluid with an effective viscosity. It is shown that the porous medium containing oil-water emulsion, is characterized by high wave attenuation compared to water or oil-saturated porous medium
