Abstract

Kapron fibers with various stretch ratios have been subjected to tensile stress relaxation tests at constant clamped length. The relaxation constants — activation energy U0 and the coefficient γ — are calculated from the results of the experiments. It is shown that the fiber parameters U0 and γ depend on the given molecular orientation.
