Abstract

Results of investigations of the effect of the technological parameters of friction welding with a disc tool on the formation of a root weld are presented. The dependence, linking the number of defects in the welded joint with the process parameters, is determined. A procedure for analytical calculations of the thermal fields in friction welding with the disc tool is proposed.
