Abstract
AbstractThe structure of a number of polymers of the polyphenylene type, prepared by polycyclocondensation of aromatic diketones and their acetals was investigated by 13C NMR spectroscopy. The spectra provide a means to determine the content of 1,3,5‐trisubstituted benzene rings and defective β‐methylchalcone fragments, as well as the endgroups.
