Abstract

The quantum yield of triplet formation (Φ isc) and the triplet lifetime of pyridazine in the liquid phase at room temperature and measured by the transient grating method. Relatively small Φ isc and a very short triplet lifetime compared with those in the solid phase at low temperature are obtained. The observed temperature dependences of the triplet lifetime and Φ isc are discussed based on these results.
