Abstract

Introduction: Platelet alpha granule release was previously associated to development of liver dysfunction after liver resection. However, the relevance of platelet degranulation in liver regeneration has not been elucidated thus far. Here we aimed to investigate differences in liver regeneration between mice lacking alpha granules and wild type individuals after partial hepatectomy (pHx).
