Abstract

The effects of elements of a free electron laser on the structure of the quasi-optical resonator modes are examined both theoretically and experimentally. A numerical analysis of the problem in question is performed by methods based on integral equations and on ordinary differential equations. The calculations and experimental investigations show, that the elements and the cavity deformations can couple different modes and change their losses.
