Abstract

A method is developed for calculation of the parameters of waveguide laser resonators (cavities) with central apertures of different diameters in reflectors located at the opposite ends. This method is based on expansion of the functions representing the distribution of the field of the resonator modes in terms of distribution functions of oscillation modes propagating in a waveguide laser tube. The method is supported by experimental results and it is used to optimize the output power of submillimeter lasers pumped with TEA CO2 laser radiation.
