Abstract

We calculate the nucleus-nucleus interaction potential with the DFM using the wavefunctions of two colliding nuclei. The wavefunctions are obtained by solving the D-dimensional wave equation using hyperspherical formalism. The calculations were assumed to be of finite-range and the density dependence of the NN interaction is accounted for. The results have been compared with calculations of zero-range approximation. To evaluate the formalism used to calculate the nucleus wavefunction, the numerical results for the interaction potential and the scattering cross-section are presented.
