Abstract
In this paper, three modulation methods for a five-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) driving system are studied, namely the current-hysteresis pulse width modulation (PWM) (CHPWM) control, space vector PWM (SVPWM) control and carrier PWM (CPWM) control. Then, Matlab/Simulink-based simulation model for the whole driving system is built and the simulation results of the three modulation methods are compared and analyzed.
