Abstract
Details of the Fe LIII X-ray emission spectra of metallic iron and DyFexAl2-x intermetallic Laves-phase compounds have been investigated by an electron microprobe. It is shown that the charge transfer between 3d Fe and 5d Dy bands is possible. The results are compared with the magnetic and Mossbauer measurements.
