Abstract

The application of electro-plastic deformation (EPD) by rolling to the Ti-50.7% Ni alloy significantly increases its deformability and also favors the formation of a mixed amorphous and nanocrystalline structure under the conditions of dynamic softening. The subsequent annealings at temperatures of 400 and 500°C make it possible to reach maximum values of the maximum reactive stress and maximum reversible deformation, respectively. In this work, we used rolling with the application of pulses of electric current of different density and duration; for the analysis of the results obtained, the methods of electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and the determination of the maximum completely reversible deformation and maximum reactive stress were used.
