Abstract

A tunable neodymium-glass ring laser, emitting single-mode single-frequency radiation in the 1054–1070 nm range, was built and investigated. A KDP crystal was used for frequency doubling and tuning in the range 527–535 nm. An experimental study was made of the gain profile of neodymium-doped silicate glass. The dispersion of the phase-matching direction was determined.
