Abstract
The fluidized bed column and the grid made of organic glass was covered inside with rings of copper sheet, isolated from each other. The connection of these rings with an electrometer made it possible to measure the electrification currents in the different sections of the column. The electrification of polypropylene particles takes place mainly on the grid. The dissipation process of the charge occurs near the upper surface of the fluidized bed. The higher the flow velocity of the air, the higher is the section of the fluidized bed column where the maximum dissipation occurs. The intensity of the electrification current reaches its maximum for particles 2,5 mm in diameter.
