Abstract

Experimental laboratory work on leaching complex sulphide ore has shown that the dissolution of nickel, copper and cobalt with a high extraction rate can only be reached after mechanical treatment of the ores, following oxidative leaching at 110°C, in an autoclave with an oxygen partial pressure of 10 bar. The effects of grinding time, temperature, initial acid concentration and oxygen partial pressure on the oxidation process rate have been determined.
