Abstract

The critical properties of the electron-doped manganite La0.6Sr0.4Mn0.9 V 0.1 O 3 were investigated based on the data of static magnetization in the vicinity of the ferromagnetic–paramagnetic phase transition. According to the modified Arrott plot, Kouvel–Fisher method, and critical isotherm analysis, we have determined the critical parameters (T C, β, γ, and δ) in the two characteristic regions of low and high magnetic fields. The estimated critical exponents are close with a 3D Ising model. The reliability of the critical exponent values was confirmed by the Widom scaling relation and the universal scaling hypothesis. Using the field dependence of RCP and ΔS M, it was possible to evaluate the critical exponents of the magnetic transitions. These values are in good agreement with those obtained from the critical exponents using modified Arrott plot.
