Abstract

An experimental study was made of an InP/InGaAsP laser with an external resonator emitting at λ = 1.3 μm. The external resonator was used to ensure single-frequency emission. The watt-ampere and spectral characteristics of the laser were determined with and without the external resonator. A correlation was established between the behavior of the spectral and noise characteristics of the laser with an external resonator.
