Abstract

In this article, high-quality Zinc selenide (ZnSe) and Mn-doped ZnSe Quantum Dots (QDs) synthesized by single source inorganic cluster method. X-Rays diffraction (XRD) pattern of ZnSe and Mn: ZnSe QDs have been indexed with Zinc blende (cubic) crystal structure. The Transmission electron microscope (TEM) image of doped QDs shows spherical shape of particles with an average diameter of 3.5-4.0 nm. Doping of Mn in ZnSe semiconductor host have been confirmed by photoluminescence (PL) as well as Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), where we have observed direct emission from Mn+2 states (4T1 → 6A1) and six hyperfine splitting in EPR signal.
