Abstract

Abstract. Today, the most important foundation in buildings is Strip foundation. But by popular use of these foundations, it seems that there are ambiguities in using them which needs discussion. In this research, it is tried to discuss behavior of Strip foundation located at sand soil under cyclic load and effect of different parameters on capacity of transporting of Strip foundation located on bed of sand is discussed. For validity of software from results, Tafreshi et al 2012 tests are used. The parameters are width of reinforced area, number of reinforced layers, and change of Geogrid resistance, change in scale of dynamic load and change on frequency of dynamic load. The results derived from modeling are as following: for static loading, freight capacity of the foundation doesn’t change as per values of different widths and it has optimum value which doesn't change with increasing width of Geogrid significantly. In this research, this value is considered as three widths of foundation (b=3B). by increment number of Geogrid layers, freight capacity of foundation is increased by reduces percent of straight leak due to dynamical loading.
