Abstract

1. A general description is given of a multipurpose high-temperature micrometric dilatometer. 2. A study was made with the aid of this dilatometer of the sequence of processes occurring during heating in MgO+FeO, MgO+Cu2O, Al2O3+Cu2O and ZrO2+CaCO3 specimens. 3. Various characteristics of these processes have been revealed, namely, the temperature regions of existence of different phases, zones of pronounced material shrinkage, temperature regions of material swelling, propagation of sintering, etc.
