Abstract

Prompt fission neutron and gamma-ray multiplicities and spectra are as important as cross sections for nuclear reactor applications. The international nuclear data libraries contain incomplete information and sometimes the same information is given for several isotopes. A Monte Carlo simulation of the fission fragment evaporation process was undertaken in order to analyse/predict post-fission related nuclear data and improve the content of nuclear data libraries. Various model improvements are performed dealing with excitation energy partition, spin distribution of primary fission fragments, spin dependent energy limit of the neutron evaporation in competition with electromagnetic de-excitation, and so on. This short presentation focuses on comparison with prompt fission neutrons related experimental data available for the spontaneous fission of Cf-252.
