Abstract
One of the urgent problems of additive manufacturing development is the high cost and limited choice of powder materials used in selective laser melting (SLM) technology. This paper presents the results of a study on the possibility of using iron powder produced for powder metallurgy as a feedstock for the creation of 3D products using the technology of SLM. The research was aimed at studying the influence of the main parameters of the process of SLM (laser radiation power, the speed of movement of the laser beam) on the properties of the sample. Standard samples were made and impact and tensile tests were carried out. The dependence of density, hardness, impact strength on the energy deposition, the dependence of hardness and impact strength on the anisotropy properties of the sample. The structure of manufactured samples was investigated. The possibility of application of GAIP 2.200.26 iron powder in additive manufacturing using SLM technology is shown.
