Abstract

ABSTRACT In this work, the application of organic phase chemical vapour generation (CVG)-atomic fluorescence spectrometry (AFS) was extended, firstly investigating the feasibility and analytical performance for the determination of tin. It was found that the hydride of tin could be generated in octanol media, and then successfully detected by AFS. Compared to the traditional hydride generation (HG)-AFS, the analytical performance of the developed organic phase system for the determination of tin was improved. Under the optimal conditions, the limit of detection (LOD) was 0.1 µg L−1.
