Abstract

Differential scanning calorimetry is used to study the curing of an epoxy resin with metal organosiloxanes differing in the type of a central metal atom (Al, Zr). The equilibrium temperatures and apparent activation energies of curing reactions are defined. It is established that the type of the central metal atom predetermines the thermal effect of the curing reaction and the activity of the metal organosiloxane as an epoxy resin curing agent.
