Abstract

Neutron induced short living isomeric state are investigated with a plastic scintillation spectrometer in pulsed beam measurements. Experimental set-up, with a fast photomultiplier blanking device, and the evaluation methods of the time and energy spectra are described. Half lives T 1 2 m and population cross sections σ m of the isomeric states in various sample materials are presented.
