Abstract

An experimental investigation was made of power fluctuations of radiation from AlGaAs injection lasers in the 0.4–200 kHz frequency range. It was found that low-frequency fluctuations of the radiation power are due to flicker noise of the pump current through the diode. A sharp increase in the power fluctuations was observed in the presence of spontaneous high-frequency pulsations of the laser radiation.
