Abstract

Poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) fiber mat was synthesized by using electrospinning technique by using DMF/Acetone as mixed solvent. Structural and functional group studies were studied by using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy respectively. The morphology of the fiber mat was investigated by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) which revealed the formation of uniform fibers with an average diameter of 500nm. The local ferroelectric, piezo electric properties and also the domain switching of the fiber mats were investigated by Dynamic Contact Electrostatic Force Microscopy (DC-EFM) studies. The peizoelectric/ferroelectric response was recorded and analyzed.Poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) fiber mat was synthesized by using electrospinning technique by using DMF/Acetone as mixed solvent.
