Abstract
The enantioseparation of chiral drugs and the potential synergistic effect between deep eutectic solvents (DESs) and polysaccharide chiral selector (glycogen) were first investigated in capillary electrophoresis (CE). The results showed that significantly improved separations of six model drugs were observed compared with single glycogen system. After completing the optimization of separation conditions, the mechanism of DESs improving enantioseparations was studied by means of Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) analysis, ultraviolet spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) methods. It was the first time that synergistic systems based on DESs and polysaccharide chiral selector were established, and DESs were effective auxiliary additives to enhance the enantioselectivity of the glycogen system in CE.
