Abstract
Abstract The aim of this study is to investigate the existence of extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) in nosocomial Gram-negative bacteria isolates and to compare different test methods that detecting ESBL. The strains producing the largest quantities of these enzymes are Klebsiella pneumoniae (K. pneumoniae), Klebsiella spp., and Escherichia coli (E. coli).
