Abstract

This research work deals with the computational simulation of the transitions of dripping to jetting which occurs during the flow of Newtonian Fluid. Herein, Volume of Fluid (VOF) model is mapped for the detention of various regimes of drop formation. The transition of drop formation from dripping to jetting is easily categorised through Weber number. The present work reveals that jetting regimes are observed at high Weber number, whereas for the small values of Weber number, dripping and dripping faucet regimes are seen. Critical conditions under which the dripping to jetting transition takes place are arrived by analysing different nozzle diameters subjected to various flow rates.
