Abstract

The dielectric permittivity and dielectric loss were measured using the open-ended coaxial probe technique on P(VDF-TrFE) and Nafion blended solutions between the frequencies of 0.5 GHz–50 GHz at room temperature. The permittivity was decreased as the concentration of Nafion is increased. The dielectric loss was increased with Nafion up to the X-band region and then dropped. The dielectric relaxation peak was shifted to a lower frequency with the rise in Nafion concentration. The dielectric relaxation time was analyzed from the Havriliak-Negami relation. The Cole-Cole plot showed a depressed semicircle and revealed possible molecular interactions between the dipoles.
