Abstract
The PbTiO3 film was prepared by magnetron sputtering, and the dielectric properties were studied by terahertz time-domain spectroscopy. The results show that the dielectric constant of the film can be modulated by an external optical pump at 18 °C (291 K), and the tunability of the film reach 36.95% at 0.4 THz. Through analysis, the microscopic mechanism of dielectric constant modulation with the intensity of the external optical pump is caused by the hardening of the soft mode inside the film. The reason for the hardening of the soft mode is the internal space charge field generated by the external optical pumping.
