Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effects of processing parameters and different lattice structures on delamination in the drilling of lattice structures. In this context, cylinder PLA (Polylactic acid) parts designed in four different (gyroid, I-WP, nevoius and diamond) lattice structures were produced on a 3D printer and drilled from the centre point with a 5 mm HSS drill. After drilling, entrance and exit hole images were taken with a digital microscope and delamination, burr and circularity around the hole were analysed. According to the results obtained, the lowest delamination at the entrance of the hole was measured in the Gyroid and I-WP lattice structure at the exit. There was no burr at the hole entrance of the specimens. It is seen that the specimen with the lowest value in terms of burr at the hole exit, entrance and exit circularity deviation is Nevoius lattice structure.
