Abstract

Noble magnetic nanoparticles exhibit a promising characteristic feature towards various applications, especially in the biomedical field. In this work, new material Fe1-2xZnxTix has been reported which is primarily based on magnetic metal has been synthesized through green route by varying in different concentration (x = 0.1,0.15,0.2) namely samples S1, S2, and S3 respectively from the leaf extract of Justicia Adhathoda. XRD, FESEM-EDS, TEM, FTIR-Raman spectroscopy, UV–visible and Zeta potential were analyzed for the samples. The antimicrobial activity of the samples revealed that the Fe1-2x Znx Tix with (x = 0.2) i.e. S3 showed a significant effectivity against both bacterial pathogens especially higher for Neisseria gonorrhoeae than Enterococcus faecalis. In vitro cytotoxicity against two cancer cells HeLa and MCF-7 cell lines revealed that cytotoxicity effects of sample S3 with IC50 value 33.75 μg/ml for HeLa cells and 50.4 μg/ml for MCF-7 cells showed potent effectivity comparing to other samples and with Vero cells the cytotoxicity was very less which makes the material suitable for drug delivery without damaging the normal cells. Hence, these nanoparticles though widened up the panorama in research and may act as a promising Nano-drug in future aspects in the biomedical field.
