Abstract

The heat losses of developed solar collectors located in and on the ground are investigated numerically. It is found that the heat losses of the solar water-heating collectors (SWC) located in the ground, depending on heat isolation type, are 7–13% less than those of the traditional SWC, and their efficiency is 4–8% higher.
