Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in reducing procrastination and increasing the self-efficacy of mothers living in Ray city. The research method used was a single-factor experiment with repeated measures. Sampling was done using the multistage cluster sampling method. The sample consisted of 41 mothers of primary school students from Ray city. The intervention was over 8 sessions and each session lasted 90 minutes. Data was collected in three phases (beginning, end, and follow-up). Data was analyzed through the examination of the variance of repeated measurements. The results of this study showed that the research hypotheses were confirmed at a significant level (P= 0.00). It can therefore be said that group therapy based on acceptance and commitment reduces procrastination and increases self-efficacy in mothers.<p> </p><p><strong> Article visualizations:</strong></p><p><img src="/-counters-/soc/0758/a.php" alt="Hit counter" /></p>
