Abstract

In a pilot plant for dust collection from hot flue gas at pressures of up to 15 bar, systematic tests were carried out on rigid ceramic fibre filter elements to study the effectiveness of pulse jet cleaning. After a brief description of the pilot plant and the filter medium employed, the relationships between pulse pressures during cleaning, maximum differential pressures during reverse flow, reverse flow duration and cleaning gas rate will be outlined.
