Abstract

The theoretical aspects pertinent to adsorption-contact drying of wet fuel in fluidized-bed and circulating fluidized-bed furnaces are considered. Graphs are presented that show how the duration of adsorption-contact drying depends on the properties of the components being mixed (fuel and solid combustion products) and on the conditions of a furnace process. Results of checking the obtained dependence on models and on a pilot commercial installation with a circulating fluidized bed are presented.
