Abstract

In recent years, Carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) materials are replacing stainless steel and other equivalent materials in the field of aeronautical and aerosp ace industries owing to its properties like high strength-to-weight and stiffness-to-weight ratios, high damping, low capacity of thermal expansion and good corrosive resistance properties. M achining on CFRP is always a challenging task and difficult to obtain optimized parameters for better surface roughness. In this this research work, parameters Stand of Distance and transverse rate are considered with different levels to analyze the Surface roughness and kerf width while machining in Abrasive water jet machining. The predictions of optimized values are determined by developing fuzzy system using the experimental design and results of this research work.
