Abstract

In this study, we simulated the crystallization of seawater under multi bubble motion using the lattice Boltzmann method – phase field method (LBM - PFM) coupling method [1]. In addition, the crystallization mechanism with multiple bubbles movement is investigated, and the results indicate that the decisive factor for crystallization rate is boundary heat flux [1]. The change in bubble radius does not affect the formation of brine pockets (BP), while reducing bubble surface tension, increasing crystallization angle and bubble motion speed can effectively reduce BP area. Furthermore, we also propose an extremely low-cost, zero pollution application technology to improve desalination rate based on the influence of bubble velocity on crystallization.
