Abstract

University has its special environment of waste, especially the distinctive categories of garbage and the abnormal production of waste at special time, which makes classification and recycling of university students (CRUS) a reverse logistic issue with unique features. In order to study university students' cognition and behavior of classification and recycling of university solid waste in Tianjin, questionnaire is designed, issued and collected and then the data is analyzed. Thus information of university students' knowledge, behavior and its factors, cognition of classification and recycling policies can be got. Furthermore, some problems and policy preferences in CRUS are revealed. These analysis results provide some policy recommendations in aspects such as campus atmosphere, waste transportation and sanitation facilities, responsibility mechanism and details. And these can be great supports for the management of the reverse logistics of CRUS.
