Abstract

This feature describes a study that investigated the use of a camera, sensitive to infrared light, to detect the emission of volatile organic compounds. Conducted under controlled laboratory conditions at the Sealing Technology Department, Centre Technique des Industries Mécaniques, it looked at the way in which parameters – such as distance of view, type of gas, wind and camera configuration – influence the detection of these compounds.
