Abstract
An investigation was made of the rheological characteristics of composites consisting of a polysulphide oligomer and a polymerising compound, cured by redox systems. It was established that the polysulphide oligomer with polymerising compounds acts by the terminal mercapto groups and by the disulphide bonds of the liquid thiokol, with the formation of crosslinked polymers. It was shown that, during the curing of coatings in the presence of the polysulphide oligomer, shrinkage processes and spontaneous heating of the reaction mass are practically absent, which lowers imperfection.
