Abstract

In this research, the "examination of the sensitivity coefficient of the fifth version of the Wechsler intelligence scale for children in students with attention deficit disorder in Tehran cities" has been discussed. The current research method is located in the field of psychometric studies, which is a subset of the methodological research method. The research community consists of all the students with attention deficit disorder in Tehran cities who have referred to psychology and counseling centers, who are covered by educational-therapeutic services (having a diagnostic file as attention deficit and using the available targeted sampling method, 120 people were selected as a statistical sample. The measurement tool in this research is the fifth version of the Wechsler IQ scale for children, which has good validity and reliability. The statistical model used in this research to determine the diagnostic validity is the scatter diagram method (Davis method), the confidence interval method, and the sensitivity coefficient method. Finally, the findings of the research showed that all tests of "Working memory" and "processing speed" scales have a sensitivity coefficient. Therefore, the tests of " Working memory" and "processing speed" scales have diagnostic validity and can distinguish students with attention deficit disorder from normal students.
